Truths Detectives Come to Cinema Verite

Anja Reiss and Jonathan Saruk, the director and the cinematographer of "Truth Detectives" will travel to Tehran to attend the 11th Iran International Documentary Film Festival.
"Truth Detectives" is selected to be screened in "Our Times" section of the festival, along with 14 other social-political documentaries.
This 86-minute documentary, produced by Germany in 2017 is about: "Human rights activists, journalists and lawyers all around the world, who collect evidence of human rights violations – with the help of victims. Using mobile devices to film and photograph their experiences, they become digital witnesses. Amateur videos of bombs exploding, people being abused or even shot dead are distributed almost in real time via social media. These criminological investigations have only one purpose: to bring to justice those who violate human rights."
Ania Reiss has studied regional science of Latin America at Cologne, Madrid and Mexico City. and has worked as a freelance journalist in local newspapers and radio stations. After graduation, she did internship in TV Channels and filmmaking companies such as the German ZDF and the Belgian Gebrueder Beetz Film Company.
Anja Reiss and is one of the international guests of Cinema Verite , who will travel to Tehran with Jonathan Saruk, the cinematographer of "Truth Detectives".
